A Toronto judge has ordered Canada's spy agency to stop listening in on telephone conversations terrorism suspects and their lawyers.
Carolyn Layden-Stevenson has ordered C-SIS to stop intercepting such calls and to delete any agents inadvertently record.
The federal court judge released information today that the wiretapping was to ensure the communication does not involve a potential breach of the bail conditions. ..Read more

COLUMBUS, Ohio—Ohio’s secretary of state filed a complaint Thursday with the Ohio Elections Commission claiming former Attorney General Marc Dann misspent about $45,000 in campaign funds.
The complaint filed by Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner accuses Dann of violating campaign finance law by spending $40,610 from his campaign on security improvements to his personal residence. ..Read more

Justice Law has been the Chief Justice of the Third Court of Appeals, since Jan 2003. The Republican Club is hosting Justice Law at the Old Blanco Court House in Blanco on October 13th at 7:00. He is a Graduate of the University of Texas in 1970 and Baylor Law School in 1973. MONTREAL — The Canadian Bar Association and more than a half-dozen legal organizations are joining forces to demand Omar Khadr's return to Canada.
The bar and other groups, including Lawyers Without Borders, also want all the federal parties to take a position in favour of the repatriation of Khadr, who was captured by U.S. forces in Afghanistan at the age of 15. ..Read more
